We headed out to Ballymun Library in April with this curious question in hand to see what came up
As part of our creative exploration, Niamh and Nadia from the Ballymun is Brilliant team spent a day in the Ballymun library asking passers by our second question “What do you think could make Ballymun shine brighter?”. The idea of this question is to probe into the hearts and minds of what a brilliant future in Ballymun could be made up of and what would people like to see in this immediate future.
With our question cards in hand, they spent the whole day gathering answers, chatting in detail and detailing all the responses via a live mural drawing. This video gives a short insight into the connections and insights shared during the day.
So what comes next?
The questions we have asked so far are part of a series of questions to probe deeper into what people from all walks of Ballymun, new and old, believe a brilliant Ballymun, both now and in the future will be.
We’ll be wandering the streets and joining you for cuppas and chats in the coming months with another curious question. And we will be inviting you to respond in creative ways. If you feel its right for you, your responses can be part of a celebration in November in the Axis Ballymun where we will draw all the creative community responses together in an exhibition and celebration of all that is Brilliant in Ballymun.
